Understanding Health Education Objectives According to the Experts

Understanding Health education is the educational activities undertaken by spreading the message to instill confidence so that people are not only aware, know and understand, but is also willing and able to perform a suggestion that has to do with the customer. (Nasrul Efendi. 1998: 232).

Definition Health education is a process aimed at individuals or groups of people so that they can behave in keeping healthy and maintaining their health (http // www.mohammadguntur.files.wordpress.com / 2007)

According Waston (1985) extension is to provide information to clients and to the life and events in life more effectively (Friedman, M. Marlyin 1998: 487).


 Counseling destination
To provide information so that the client is able to make the right decisions in relation to health and illness.
To help the client in order to participate effectively in the treatment or cure.
To help clients adapt to the reality of the disease and its treatment.
To help clients to experience a sense of satisfaction with their own efforts that support health (Friedman, Marlyn M. 1998: 487).

Scope Extension
Scope Guidance covers three aspects:
Health education targets are individuals, families, groups and communities are made subject and object behavior change, which is expected to understand, appreciate and apply the ways of healthy living and daily life. Material or messages to be delivered to the client should be tailored to the needs of health and nursing of individuals, families, groups and communities, so that the material presented can be felt directly benefited.
The method used in health education should be a method that can develop two-way communication between the providing information to the client so that the client's expected level of understanding of the message delivered will be clearer and easier to understand (Nasrul Efendi. 1998: 233).
